Krisna Duong-Ly

Krisna Duong-Ly - 4th year, Amzel lab
krisna@jhu.edu

College:  Swarthmore College (BA Biochemistry, 2005)

Research:  Serine racemase converts L-serine to D-serine, which has been implicated in normal neuronal migration and synaptic transmission as well as in pathological conditions such as schizophrenia and neurodegenerative damage accompanying stroke.  My research in this system focuses on investigating the structure, function, and mechanism of the serine racemase from Mus musculus.

Glenn Hauk - 3rd year, Bowman lab
ghauk@jhu.edu

College:  University of Michigan (BS Biochemistry, 2006)

Research:  I am investigating the molecular mechanisms of ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling through studying the enzyme, CHD1.

Glenn Hauk
Zach Hensel

Zach Hensel - 4th year, Xiao lab
zhensel@jhu.edu

College:  University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (BS Physics, BA Cinema Studies, 2005)

Research:  My research focuses on single-molecule visualization of autoregulatory expression in phage lambda.

Megan McDonald - 3rd year, Green lab
memcdonald@jhu.edu

College:  Davidson College (BS Biophysics, 2005)

Research:  I am studying single molecule Release Factor.

Desirae Leipply

Desirae Leipply - 5th year, Draper lab
desirae@jhu.edu

College:  Coe College (BA Physics, 2004)

Research:  I am exploring the role of electrostatics in RNA folding and the importance of collapsed states in nucleic acid folding pathways.
